Dwayne Friesen is responsible for directing the research and development of novel drug - delivery technologies and formulations for the advancement of active pharmaceutical ingredients.  He has been instrumental in the development of novel drug-delivery platforms and dosage forms for the delivery of compounds with challenging properties, including those with extremely low water solubility.  His current work includes the development of formulations for delivery of small molecules, biotherapeutics, and vaccines to the respiratory tract, as well as the targeted delivery of therapeutic agents to specific cells and tissues. Dwayne received a B.S. in chemistry from California State College - Bakersfield and a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from Oregon State University. He holds 50 U.S. patents and has 17 scientific publications. He has worked at Bend Research since 1980.
